Deborah Rodgers is a devoted piano teacher, pianist, speaker, adjudicator and lifelong learner. She has degrees in piano performance with credits from West Chester University and Peabody Institute.
She is on the faculty of the piano department at St. Agnes School, in West Chester, PA and is the proprietor of the Passageways Piano studio, where she has taught hundreds of interested students how to play the piano and compose music. Her students often receive awards for their performances and original compositions; several pursue music as a career
Deborah is immediate Past President of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. She is a past president of the Main Line Music Teachers Association, chairperson for the West Chester Piano Guild, and Chairperson for PFMC’s Jr. Composer Contest.
Performances include soloing with the West Chester Symphony Orchestra and the Rose Tree Pops. She frequently serves as a freelance accompanist.
Past employment includes Paoli Presbyterian Church where she directed six age appropriate choirs and performed regularly. She was the director of the Lancaster Homeschool Choir. Additionally, she has been organist and church pianist for over twenty years in various churches.
In 2007 Deborah released a CD called Hope for the World. All of the proceeds from the sale of the CD was donated to charity.
