from the preschool beginner to the pre-professional.
Performance classes and music theory instruction are included in the curriculum.
Online piano lessons are also possible.
Musical composition camps are offered in the summer.

Both of my kids have been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Rodgers for years. She is an amazing teacher, passionate and inspiring. She makes piano learning fun. Even the hardest songs, she is able to break down and teach it in a way that kids can learn quickly and thoroughly. Besides teaching piano technique, she is very emphasized on musical expressions as well as how to make music. In addition to the lessons and recital, her students have a lot more opportunities of music performance/education, such as variety auditions/festivals, theory class and composition camp. The Piano Passageways Studio of Deborah Rodgers is committed to teaching a high quality, individualized path to piano mastery. It is our pleasure to work with each student, to help them discover the world of music through the piano.

Studio Policy
Two methods of enrollment are available
- Yearly tuition plan- based on 37 lessons per year
- Payment per lesson - For students unable to commit to 37 lessons per year. Students on the per lesson plan will pay monthly for the lessons they plan to take that month.
Tuition Plans for Yearly Enrollment
Three payment options are available
- Once per year. Due in September
- Three times per year. Due in September, January, and May
- Eleven times per year. Due during the months of September through July
Tuition is due by the 15th of the month.
Calendar
Yearly Plan - A year consists of 37 lessons starting in September and culminating sometime in June, July, or August. 5 additional weeks beyond the 37 lessons are build into the schedule for a potential 42 lessons per year.
These extra lessons are in case of absences. If no lessons are missed, then they are used as free lessons.
The finishing date will vary depending on each student’s personal fluctuation in attendance.
Piano students on the yearly plan are expected to complete and meet the financial obligations for the entire year.
Pay Per Lesson - Students on the pay per lesson plan will take lessons according to their individualized schedule.

Registration Fee
To sign up a non-refundable registration fee is due. The registration fee includes participation in the following activities:

National Piano Guild Auditions Federation Jr. Composers Contest

About Me
Deborah Rodgers is a devoted piano teacher, pianist, speaker, adjudicator and lifelong learner. She has degrees in piano performance with credits from West Chester University and Peabody Institute.
She is on the faculty of the piano department at St. Agnes School, in West Chester, PA and is the proprietor of the Passageways Piano studio, where she has taught hundreds of interested students how to play the piano and compose music.
Her students often receive awards for their performances and original compositions; several pursue music as a career
Deborah is immediate Past President of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. She is a past president of the Main Line Music Teachers Association, chairperson for the West Chester Piano Guild, and Chairperson for PFMC’s Jr. Composer Contest.
Performances include soloing with the West Chester Symphony Orchestra and the Rose Tree Pops. She frequently serves as a freelance accompanist.
Past employment includes Paoli Presbyterian Church where she directed six age appropriate choirs and performed regularly. She was the director of the Lancaster Homeschool Choir. Additionally, she has been organist and church pianist for over twenty years in various churches.
In 2007 Deborah released a CD called Hope for the World. All of the proceeds from the sale of the CD was donated to charity.
